“How long will I be waiting for my gym?” It’s one of the first questions every UK client asks. And rightly so — lead time decides when you place the order, when the slab needs to be ready, and when you can realistically book in your first workout.
Below the honest answer, broken down by stage with realistic windows.

For non-standard sizes or rich specifications (sauna, wellness zone, full panoramic glazing) — realistic timeline is 16–20 weeks, including the extra crossing for shipping from our production facility.
Why does production take 8–12 weeks?
Worth asking directly — here’s the straight answer.
➜ Every module is built to order. There is no warehouse of pre-built gyms waiting for a buyer. Each Gym Box is welded, insulated and fitted out to the specifications of one specific project.
➜ Production queue. During the spring peak (March–July) and the year-end push (November–December), lead times stretch by 2–3 weeks. If you have a target delivery date — order with headroom.
➜ Quality control. Before transport, every module goes through electrical PAT, watertightness check and frame-level certification.
➜ Cross-border logistics. Modules to the UK travel by HGV with a roll-on/roll-off ferry crossing — add 4–7 days for shipping over standard EU lead times.
When to place the order
Want to train through the summer?
Place the order by mid-February. Slot delivery and install into May–June. Get the foundation laid in parallel with the build at the factory.
Want to train through the autumn?
Order in May–June, take delivery September–October. Optimal window — you avoid the spring peak and the unit is ready before winter.
Year-round use, no specific window?
The Gym Box is built for year-round use (120 mm insulation, electric heating standard). Order whenever — winter installs run without issue and shorter daylight is only a logistics constraint, not a build one.
What you can prepare while the module is being built
Production time is your window to ready the site:
➜ Foundation — concrete pad footings or a reinforced slab. UK lead time: 5–10 working days through a local groundworker, longer in winter if frost stops the pour.
➜ Electrical supply — notify your DNO if you need a new connection or an upgrade to 3-phase. UK timeline: 6–12 weeks depending on the network operator. This is the most common project delay — start it the day you sign the contract.
➜ Planning paperwork — if you’re applying for a Lawful Development Certificate, file it in parallel with the contract signing (8–12-week determination).

What does install day look like?
Delivery and install is normally one working day.
In the morning a flatbed arrives with the module on board and a HIAB or mobile crane lifts it onto the prepared foundation. After levelling and securing, the install team checks all the services and hands you the access codes, manuals and certification pack.
By the afternoon — you can walk in and look at your new gym.
Power connection (if the supply was prepared in advance): an extra 2–3 hours for a qualified electrician to terminate and test.
