What you’re actually paying for
A Gym Box price is the sum of four components:
- Module shell — galvanised steel frame with 120 mm PIR/EPS insulation, electrical install, LED lighting, interior finish
- Sports equipment — from basic (kettlebells, pull-up bar, mat) through to a fully kitted commercial-style gym (rack, Olympic bar, dumbbell set, cardio)
- Add-ons — sauna, solar PV, air conditioning, bi-fold doors, decking, mirrors
- Logistics — transport, crane hire, installation, foundation
Module-only prices are quoted net (most buyers are businesses or leasing through their company), while shop packages are quoted incl. VAT for private buyers. In UK terms this is similar to comparing trade vs. retail pricing.

Financing a Gym Box
Around 65% of Polish buyers finance the build through 36- or 48-month operating leases. For the 8×3 Standard at £40,600 incl. VAT, the monthly cost works out at approx. £910/month (48-month term, 10% deposit).
In the UK, the usual routes are:
- Personal loan — usually capped around £25,000, so it typically funds part of the build (6–12% APR typical)
- Secured loan or remortgage for premium builds (3–6%)
- Business lease/HP if you’re buying through a limited company — similar logic to the Polish leasing model
Do you need planning permission?
In Poland, modules up to 35 m² footprint go through a simplified notification rather than full permit — that covers the 7×3, 8×3, 9×3, 6×5 and 7×5 sizes.
