Container gym flooring — sports rubber, impact absorption, soundproofing

Which flooring for a container gym? 20 mm sports rubber, buffer mats, puzzle tiles. How to soundproof a Gym Box so it doesn't disturb neighbours or family.

  • 20 mm sports rubber as standard
  • Dropped-weight impact absorption
  • Soundproofing from floor to walls
  • Easy to replace and clean

Why flooring is one of the most important elements

Wrong flooring = noise on every squat, damaged container steel, unstable equipment. Right flooring = comfortable training, equipment longevity, peace and quiet for the neighbours.

What we use in Gym Box

Layer 1 — 10 mm buffer mat (directly on container steel) Absorbs vibration and moisture. We use EVA foam or recycled rubber.

Layer 2 — 20 mm sports rubber tiles Shore A hardness: 50–60. Colour: black or anthracite. Format: 1×1 m or 0.5×0.5 m (puzzle). Compression resistance: over 400 kg/m².

Premium option — 25 mm rubber + acoustic mat For models with heavier Olympic exercises (snatch, clean & jerk), with an additional acoustic mat under the weights zone.

Wall and ceiling soundproofing

A Gym Box is built from steel — without additional soundproofing it reflects noise. As standard:

Effect: Noise reduction of 15–25 dB compared with an empty container. Music at 80 dB inside = ~55 dB outside (conversation level).

Colours and aesthetics

The floor is part of the gym’s visual identity. Available options:
